Taxi and Private Hire Complaints

Image of taxi light

The council licenses all taxi (hackney carriage) and private hire vehicles, drivers and operators to ensure standards are met.

If you wish to complain about a taxi driver, vehicle or company then try to get the driver's badge number, vehicle plate number and note the time and day of the incident.

Our Licensing Team will investigate all complaints and can revoke or suspend licences if conditions have not been met.

Please use the form below to contact us if you wish to make a complaint.

For further advice, including an explanation of the difference between taxis and private hire vehicles, please download our Guide for Passengers leaflet below.
