Local Transport Plan

East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is the Highway Authority for our county. They make bids to the Government to aquire funding for transport schemes and they are responsible for drawing up Local Transport Plans (LTP) for the whole county as well as smaller areas within.

 

An Local Transport Plan considers the transport needs of an area and proposes development schemes accordingly. The Government will consider the plan and allocate resources for schemes meeting policy objectives. Local Authorities also require to demonstrate that they have consulted key sections of the population and that the proposals have public support.

 

We have engaged in extensive discussion and consultation with a wide range of transport users and providers to create the Eastbourne Urban Area Local Transport Plan (EUALTP). This plan is available below.
