Terminus Road - Diesel Alley
This section of Terminus Road is restricted as buses require a large amount of space to move in and out of bus stops. If the road was open to all traffic, particularly delivery lorries, then we would experience severe congestion as a result.
Bus-Only Sections
There are a number of proposals for the bus-only section of Terminus Road. They include the relocation of the bus interchange to Ashford Road outside the train station and narrowing of the road at Bankers corner.
Bus limits
There is no limit on the number of buses allowed in the bus interchange at any one time. Eastbourne has a number of bus companies and it would be impractical to attempt to schedule all of them.
