An abnormal load describes a vehicle that is:
- carrying more than 44 tonnes,
- more than 3.0 metres wide,
- more than 18.75 metres long, and
- with a front or rear overhang of more than 3.05 metres.
If you wish to transport an abnormal load across East Sussex then you must inform East Sussex County Council by fax before any move is scheduled to take place.
