Roads, Highways and Pavements

The responsibility of our Highways group is to ensure that our road network is maintained in a safe condition for all users.

East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is the Highway Authority for the highway network in Eastbourne.

Under an agreement between ESCC and Eastbourne Borough Council (EBC), we provide a highway management service for the network. This means that local highway problems are dealt with by local officers in Eastbourne.
