To receive the concessionary fare, it is necessary to show your bus pass to the bus driver on each journey you make. If you cannot show your pass, the bus driver will charge the normal adult fare. You should not attempt to obtain a concessionary fare with an out-of-date pass. Bus Company staff are instructed by the council to withdraw any out-of-date, altered or defaced passes, including the photograph, and charge the normal adult fare.
When can I use my National Bus Pass?
Subject to certain exceptions your National Bus Pass may be used after 9.30am on normal weekdays, and at anytime at weekends and on public holidays throughout England. Passes issued by Eastbourne Borough Council allow for travel from 9.00 am throughout the Eastbourne area only.
