National Bus Pass - Conditions of Use
- You must be a permanent resident of Eastbourne Borough Council.
- Your National Bus Pass must be shown to the driver on every journey in order to obtain the concession due on adult single and return fares.
- The driver (or Inspector) has the right to question your entitlement to a concession in suspicious or doubtful circumstances and to retain your pass.
- You are subject to the normal conditions of carriage and passenger regulations of the operators of those services on which you travel when using your National Bus Pass.
- Your National Bus Pass cannot be used to purchase Season, Express Coach, Excursion or other similar tickets. Although some operators may make concessions to National Bus Pass holders.
- Your National Bus Pass cannot be used to buy tickets for use on Railway services or the London Underground.
- Your National Bus Pass is for your personal use only – it must not be used by any other person and is not transferable.
- Your National Bus Pass is rendered void if altered or defaced in any way.
- Lost or damaged National Bus Passes will be replaced at the discretion of the authority which issued them. Passes can be replaced but this may take up to two weeks. A fee of £5 is charged to contribute towards administrative charges to replace the first lost pass. The fee for subsequent mislaid passes is £10.
- Your National Bus Pass, including any photograph attached thereto, remains the property of the issuing authority and must be surrendered to the issuing authority or their representative on demand.
- You accept that when you use your National Bus Pass neither the local authorities who co-operate to provide the Countycard scheme nor their agents and/or contractors (other then bus operators) shall be liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly in connection with obtaining or using a bus operator’s services.
