Challenge a Parking Fine (Penalty Charge Notice)

If you are issued with a parking ticket at one of our car parks it will have a reference number starting EBC 000000 or VED 000000.

You have 14 days to appeal against the parking fine.

• Note: If your parking ticket reference number starts with EU 00000000  this is not one of our parking tickets. It is an on-street parking fine issued by East Sussex County Council (ESCC). Go to the ESCC website to appeal against an on-street parking fine.

How to Appeal

Please note: fines are also called Penalty Charge Notices (PCN).

Your appeal must:

• be made in writing within 14 days of the PCN being issued
• quote the EBC reference number (starting EBC 000000 or VED 000000)
• outline the reason for appeal.

Amount of Fine

The amount payable will go on hold during the period of appeal.

If the appeal is unsuccessful the lesser amount of £30 will be payable as long as you pay within 14 days. 

If you do not pay within 14 days the full amount of £60 will be due.
