This section brings you details of the latest, real-time national traffic news from the Highways Agency.
This information is fed directly to our site from a new website commissioned by the Highways Agency called Traffic England. This process is called an RSS Feed.
The list of traffic conditions and incidents, with a short summary is displayed on our Traffic Feed page.
How to use the Traffic Feed page
Select the title of a traffic incident you are interested in from the list. The link will open a location map on the Traffic England website, which will open in a new browser window.
There are checkboxes to the left of the map which you can tick to display a variety of traffic-related information. Further traffic details will pop-up as you hover your mouse over the icons appearing on the map.
South Eastern Traffic
To see traffic conditions for the area around Eastbourne go to the Traffic England website and select South East, then zoom into the area.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds offer an easy way to keep up with the latest information from other organisations' websites throughout the day. They automatically update as the websites' contents change.
