Stagecoach Buses

Most local bus services in Eastbourne are now operated by Stagecoach. Services are run to all parts of Eastbourne and to nearby towns Hailsham, Lewes, Battle and Bexhill.

There is also a seafront service to Beachy Head.

Route 12 to Brighton, from Eastbourne town centre through Old Town, is operated by Brighton and Hove Buses.

The company operates an extensive bus service running between Hove, Brighton, Eastbourne, Lewes and Tunbridge Wells.

Downlander Travelcards

Southern Railway now offers a one-day travel card for travelling across the South and South East using the major local bus and train services. Downlander e-tickets are sold exclusively online and cannot be bought at stations.

There are two types of ticket – the South Coast Downlander (£10) and the All Network Downlander for £12.50 (children aged 5-15 travel for £2.50 on either ticket).
