Balloons and Lanterns

We recognise the potential environmental harm of both the mass release of helium-filled balloons and Chinese type lanterns.

We discourage such releases from our land and property because of the harm that the balloons cause to the environment, particularly marine life, wildlife and livestock:

  • Balloons present a serious choking threat

  • They are slow to break down and decompose.

We take our commitment to the environment very seriously which is why we have taken this position.
