Eastbourne's beaches and seafront are one of the key attractions for visitors and residents.
The council is responsible for maintaining the seafront parades and promenade and the decorative lighting that lines the main part of the seafront.

The council is responsible for the maintenance of the decorative lighting that is installed along the seafront from Western Lawns to Princes Park.

All other street lights are the responsibility of East Sussex County Council. You can report faulty street lighting online using the East Sussex Fault Reporting Service or by calling 0345 6080193.
Promenades and Parades
The council is responsible for the maintenance of the seafront parades and promenades that run from Holywell through to Langney Point.
We inspect monthly from April 1 to September 30 and every six weeks over the remainder of the year. Inspections include all parade surfaces, seafront shelters, steps, ramps, railings and signs.
