Types of Assistance Available for Private Home Owners

Find out about the types of grants and other assistance for private homeowners we can help with.

Disabled Facilities Grants

Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) assist disabled people to adapt their homes, to enable them to live as independently as possible.

You can now apply for a DFG online. However, although we will handle your application, you need to be referred via Adult Social Care in order to apply for a DFG.

Please either call Adult Social Care Direct on 0345 6080 191 or contact East Sussex County Council to request an assessment in the first instance.
