Community Grants

Every year the council awards Small Grants of up to £5,000 to voluntary and community organisations for services and activities which benefit Eastbourne and its residents. We invite organisations to submit an initial Expression of Interest form (available below). We then invite those organisations which meet our eligibility criteria and priorities to submit a Detailed Application.

We are now inviting organisations who meet our eligibility criteria and are seeking funding for 2018/19 for a project which addresses one of our priorities to submit an application by 5pm on Friday 22nd September 2017. If you wish to apply, please read our Community and Housing Grants Policy and download a copy of the Expression of Interest Form and Guidance below.

The priorities for 2018/19 are:

Projects designed to promote inclusion and the needs of those communities and groups protected under current Equality legislation

Initiatives designed to develop volunteering and/ or self-help activity which need funding to get started which focus on:

  • Improving people’s mental health and wellbeing
  • Supporting carers
  • Reducing social isolation
  • Tackling financial exclusion
  • Tackling digital exclusion
