Bulky Items and Collections

You can take old fridges and freezers free of charge to the Household Recycling Site in St. Philips Avenue, Eastbourne, BN22 8NB.

There are also some local charities that can collect white goods and furniture to sell.

Bulky Waste Collections

Alternatively, we provide a chargeable service to remove bulky items such as cookers, washing machines, wardrobes, mattresses, furniture etc.

We cannot collect garden waste, asbestos, builders' rubble, soil, flammable materials or undertake house clearances.

Collection Charges

The minimum charge for bulky waste collections is £50.00 for up to three items. Additional items are £10.00 per item.

To be eligible for up to two free collections per year, with a maximum of three items per collection, you must be in receipt of the state pension and/or registered disabled. You may need to provide proof of this on collection.
