Winter League 2011

Hampden Park 5-a-Side Football logo

This season we witnessed Chalk Farm win the league once again winning all four of the last major leagues but with a bigger twist this time around found them rocked more often for their title win due to Bourne Bravehearts spirited draw and QVS Fruits emphatic 4-1 win in week 8.

The League Cup found an interesting vengeful fight between winners Chalk Farm and 4th placed QVS Fruits who of course made that historic win over the champs in the season.

It was 1-0 to Farm in the league games as they fended off Fruits with no real struggle, however the finale proved different as both made it through their games unscaved to fight to the death for the silverware.

QVS Fruits stormed to victory 4-1 in what was an exciting game for spectators and the players involved but League Cup victory was QVS Fruits.

The Plate Cup 2011 showed the bottom 5 comepeting and with two main finalists tipped as the ones to watch in the competition played out an enthralling match.

Unfortunately for Bourne Bravehearts who did manage to beat Valina Boyz ealier in the night 2-1 could not find that extra bit to go all the way with Valina Boyz slotting home 3-0. A great and well deserved victory showed Valina Boyz champions of winter plate cup 2011.

Richard Piper eventually caught 7 times winner of top goal scorer Ricky Prodger up in this season as Piper found 27 goals over Prodger's 26.

Sam Connor of Chalk Farm grabbed player of the season in winter as his dynamic defending and exciting forward play proved important to their title win of the season.
