Gurr Ceramic Tiling made a dramatic comeback to being Springs title champions 2009 as they went 21 games unbeaten. Gurr Tiling made 19 wins with 2 draws before they got tradgically beaten by Hospital Social Club 5-0 on the very last game of the season. Gurr Tiling being the last team to win the 5 a side league before Hospital Social Club started their winning streak of four straight league titles in a row. Gurr Tiling found form this spring season to stop the Social Club taking their fifth consecutive title ending Social Club's unbeaten league run.
Gurr Tiling only dropped 7 points in the whole season and managed to whip up 69 league goals with two of their players Joey Pout and Jack Divall hitting the top 10 goal-scorers charts.
Hospital Social Club finished strong in runners up position after a bad start to the league, when losing to Blubba Boyz 2-1 in week 3 and Gurr Tiling 1-0 in week 6 found them losing more in one season since ever playing in our league's
When it comes to scoring goals Ricki Prodger seems untouchable after winning his fifth top goal scorer award in consecutive seasons when he finished the season with 35 goals, seven ahead tol player of the league Ali Torbati.
The League Cup night of the spring season 2009 found Hospital Social Club knocked out in the first round after winning this prestigeous event of the winter season 2008/9.
Balls of Steel the culprits where after a thrilling 3-3 draw came into penalties where Balls of Steel fired themselves through.
Kewell and the Gang knocked Chalk Farm out 1-0 and then Fellas Barbers 1-0 to reach the final. Blubba Boyz beat Real Valina 2-0 and then beating Balls of Steel in the semi-finals 1-0 to reach the important showdown of the final against Kewell & the Gang.
A tough game saw both working hard to grab the silverware but Kewell came out on top with a 3-0 triumph that saw Kewell & the Gang win their first trophy of 2009 so far.
