Autumn League 2011

It has been a successful autumn season at Hampden Park Sports Centre with good football goals have been thick and fast from all of the teams but none especially more often than Hospital Social Club.

They have recorded 17 wins and 1 draw leaving them top by 13 points thanks to some blistering results but this week found two decisive results against Valinaless and Braveheartz.

Valinaless lost out here too great individual play which saw Riki Prodger with a hat-trick and a nice back flick to score for his third. Richard Piper also secured the win but Ryan Sharp and Matt Harvey took advantage of mistakes from the back to bring scores to a respectable level.

Social Club also beat Heartz 4-2 this time Riki sharing the goals with defensive dynamo Sam Connor netting a brace each.

However Social Club was vulnerable at times as Paul Ferguson and Paul Binks proved Social Club to be human after all as they conceded another two in this match up but left the autumn league knowing they was the champs of autumn league 2011.

Hospital Social Club clinch the autumn season title. The Final week saw Hospital Social Club finally get their hands on their autumn season silverware.

Hampden Park Sports Centre finally congratulated Hospital Social Club once again for their LEAGUE TRIUMPH and 22 game unbeaten run without dropping a single point clinching a maximum of 66 points.

They went out and beat Kewell & the Gang 3-1 as Riki Prodger behind Brother Lee Prodger needed over 7 goals to clinch and overtake Lee in the scorer boards grabbed himself all three in this match.

Social Club then faced Victoria Coaches where one-way traffic saw Riki Prodger on fire as every pass came his way smashed a new record of most goals scored in one game by an individual person hit a jaw-dropping 10!

Sam Connor added but the limelight was on Riki as once again clinches top goal scorer for the 6th consecutive season in a row as he hit 38 and 13 on the evening.

Top striker Ricki Prodger found him breaking brother Lee Prodger's heart as Lee came so close but Riki took the trophy of top goal scorer autumn 2009 in the last week, but at least some body came close this time around. 38 goals is what it took to clinch autumn seasons top scorer trophy, well done Riki.

Social Club made a jaw-dropping 22 consecutive wins without dropping a single point with a maximum of 66 points acheived as well as the best defensive record on 11 and them making 12 clean sheets throughout the season.

Balls of Steel and autumn season undefeated champs Hospital Social Club came head to head in the final for the Autumn League Cup 2009.

Two of the top teams in the league starting brightly but due to Social Clubs dominance on the ball with dummies and movement off the ball startled the Steel into mistakes that saw Riki Prodger execute for 1-0.

Kyle Feneron then added soon after as Steel’s heads went down, However saw some fighting spirit as Addison Baigent like week after week in the league spared the Steel’s blushes to smash past statistically the best keeper this season Simon Hobden for 2-1.

This didn’t stop Social Club as the final score and dominance in possession saw Social Club breeze past the Steel with a 5-1 victory and taking League Cup 2009 honours.
