Eastbourne Sports Festival 2013 – Get Involved!

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2013

Following a successful 2012 event, the Eastbourne Sports Festival is back for another year! In partnership with the Eastbourne branch of NSPCC, the Council are once again hosting the town’s top festival of sport.

As per last year, the Eastbourne Sports Festival 2013 (ESF 2013) will be a great opportunity for local clubs and organisations to promote their sport to the wider community. Offering a range of activity taster sessions at the small cost of £1.00 per person/per sport, organisers aim to demonstrate the variety of sporting opportunities in the area.

All the money raised from the event will go to the NSPCC to help their fundraising needs. Last year the target amount was £1600 to help cover the cost of recruiting and training a NSPCC ChildLine Counsellor. The 2012 event raised a brilliant £1,331 for charity and encouraged over 1,000 participants both children and adults to take part. Organisers are looking to deliver a bigger and better festival this year which raises more money for such a worthy cause.

The Sovereign Centre and Seafront Lifeguard Station have been added to the venues list which continues to include all the EBC Sports Centres and Eastbourne Rowing Club. The involvement of the Sovereign Centre and Lifeguard Station means that an increased number water-based activity have been added to the ESF 2013 programme.

You can find the Eastbourne Sports Festival 2013 activity time-table displayed on these pages along with information about how to book in-advance for any of the event’s sports sessions.
