We always like to make sure that our playscheme is jam packed with fun and games throughout the holidays including exciting visits from local and regional attractions.
We organise various activities either on the 'topic of the week' or just because there great fun such as dress up day and water play (bring your water pistol) BBQ day, sports day and lots more!
Zoolab Days

During previous Summer holidays we have been visited by the Zoolab UK Ranger. He brings along lots of his little creepy crawly friends and some of them we even get to have a stroke!
The Zoolab Ranger talks to the children about the rainforest and all the different animals and insects that live there. He allows the children to handle different species including a snake, a tarantula and a millipedes.
Circus Workshop
Due to the popularity of the first one we are now making our circus workshops a regular visit. Children enjoyed learning to juggle, walk on stilts, diablo and lots more. A great session for all
Sk8 School
The children (and playworkers) always have a brilliant time when Sk8 School come to visit! Sk8 School put on a Roller Disco for everyone at Rascals to enjoy, this includes learning skills, playing games and just having a great time! Dont worry if you don't have any skates or dont know how to do it, they've got skates for all the children to borrow and we always have children learing to skate during the session. Sk8 School is a visit not to miss!
We have also had visits from Street Styles 4 All Dance, Sussex Stars Cheerleading, Martial Arts and lots more!
Football Tournament
For all our football fanatics, we organise mini football tournaments allowing them to team up and compete against Shinewater and Hampden Park Playchemes where they can really show off their Beckham skills.
This is every Friday afternoon for children in the over 8's group.
Children are given the opportunity to travel to Hampden Park Sports Centre to compete in the tournament based on a merit scheme we have at the centre.
Swimming Trips
Our swimming trips have been very popular in the previous school holidays.
Children enjoy games, competitions, races and loads more fun in the water!
They are supervised at all times by our staff members, travelling to and from the swimming pool and while in the pool, The pool also has it own fully qualified lifeguard on the side at all times.
Children will need to be booked into the afternoon session for the the day of the swimming trip to be able to attend..
A small surcharge applies to each child attending the swimming session.
Themed Days
To keep the children entertained in the longer school hoildays we have introduced themes to our weeks to ensure that we are busy having lots of fun.
