Roses and seat in sunshine

Location

The Italian Gardens are tucked away in a sheltered location at the western most end of Eastbourne's seafront 2 kilometres south-west of the pier.  Access is on well surfaced paths or by seasonal Dotto train only.

History

The garden originated in the early twentieth century when an old chalk quarry was landscaped.

Main Attractions

The garden is a delightful sun trap with seating and a central lawn area below banks of mature trees.  Climbing roses add a splash of colour in season.
