The playground at Tugwell Park has been enhanced with new play equipment. This adds further play value on top of that achieved when the whole playground had a major makeover last year.

The new equipment is designed for younger children and consists of balancing and agility items layed out in assault course style.

Hampden Park in Bloom volunteers

Volunteers from the local Hampden Park in Bloom community group have been busy enhancing a neglected corner.

On 10th November several members replanted a triangular corner plot at the junction of Brassey Parade and Brodrick Road. The plants included some permanent aromatic herbs and spring bulbs.

Council contractor The Landscape Group prepared the bed free of charge and the cost of plants was shared between the council and Hampden Park in Bloom.
