Eastbourne Local History Museum

The Local History Museum is now closed to the public and will be relocated to new premises.

Eastbourne Borough Council is currently working in partnership with the Eastbourne Society, Eastbourne Local History Society, Eastbourne Natural History & Archaeological Society and the local branch of Family Roots to develop a new local history facility for the town.

As part of this process a number of joint projects will be mounted around Eastbourne over the coming year.

For further details on projects or enquiries about the collection please call us on 01323 417961 or fill in our online contact form.

East Sussex Records Office holds many documents relating to Eastbourne local history. Many of these records can be found online at the National Archives' Access To Archives project website.
