Find out about Home Information Packs (HIPs) for buyers and sellers.

All properties marketed for sale from 14 December 2007 need a Home Information Pack.

The packs are bringing energy efficiency ratings to homes.

What is in a Home Information Pack?

If you are selling a home, you need a Home Information Pack to show to potential buyers.

The pack includes an Energy Performance Certificate, containing advice on how to cut CO2 emissions and fuel bills. Also included in the pack are documents such as a sale statement, searches and evidence of title.
