In March 2007 Eastbourne Care and Repair was awarded the National Quality Mark Award Certificate.
Baroness Andrews, Minister for Housing at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) visited the agency to present the award - see more details in this section.
National Quality Mark Scheme
Foundations administers the National Quality Mark Scheme on behalf of the DCLG.
A Quality Mark is awarded to Home Improvement Agencies that meet certain standards which are assessed during a two-day intensive visit by the Foundations Quality Mark Team.
Quality Services in Eastbourne
The Housing Minister said the Quality Mark recognises Eastbourne Care and Repair’s commitment to providing high quality, client-focused services, and the all-round excellence of those services for clients and stakeholders.
Eastbourne Care and Repair is a charitable organisation and plays a crucial role in helping Eastbourne Borough Council deliver its housing renewal programme in the private sector.
Local Joint Working Protocol
In a partnership arrangement the Agency works with the council and Eastbourne Disability Team in acting for older and disabled homeowners. To find out more, download our colour slide show presentation in PDF format below.
A locally agreed joint working protocol has received national recognition for helping to speed up the time taken to process some of the grants - see Good Practice Guidance.
