Having Work Done on Your Home
If you need to get builders and contractors to do work on your home, you can download advice leaflets from the Office of Fair Trading below.
The leaflets give practical tips on how to avoid problems with contractors, and a list of trade organisations and advice agencies who can help you.

Whilst it is primarily the responsibility of homeowners to maintain their own property, some homeowners, such as elderly and vulnerable people, do not have the resources to keep their homes in good repair.
