Eastbourne's first Local Life Show was held at the Winter Garden on Saturday 15 September 2007.
The free lifestyle show, based on the Ideal Home Show, was a great success, attracting more than 2,500 people.
Private Housing Assistance
The council's Environmental Health service had a stand where staff gave advice about private housing assistance and disabled facilities grants, help for owners of empty properties and energy saving advice.
An advisor from Surrey and East Sussex Energy Efficiency Advice Centre was also at our stand.
94 people filled in 'Save Your 20 Per Cent' commitment cards indicating what they would do to save energy at home.
We handed out free low energy lightbulbs, water saving devices for cisterns, recycled pens, bookmarks and a range of advice leaflets for homeowners.
Buy With Confidence Approved Traders
The Local Life Show is an annual event organised by East Sussex County Council Trading Standards to raise awareness of the Buy With Confidence Approved Traders scheme.
