Are you Homeless?
The law states that Local Authorities must help certain people if they become homeless. If you are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless, contact us without delay. We will discuss your situation with you and decide what help we can give.
If you do not qualify for housing from us we will point you to another organisation who may be able to help.
BHT Eastbourne Advice gives independent advice and support for anyone with a housing problem. They can argue your case if they believe we have made the wrong decision. They also have an Accommodation Officer who helps people who need housing to find a private rented property.
BHT Eastbourne Advice also runs a housing and support service for vulnerable people, called Eastbourne Housing Plus. If the Council has a duty to assist you we may use this service to re-house you.
The Citizens Advice Bureau gives free advice on a wide range of issues including housing. They can also point you to other local organisations who may be able to help you.
If you are homeless contact us for individual advice and assistance as soon as possible
