LATEST... Green Apple Award for National Environmental Best Practice
Councils in East Sussex are working in partnership to provide government-funded grants to help privately owned and privately rented households save energy and cut costs.
These councils have appointed Climate Energy Ltd to manage and coordinate the East Sussex Energy Partnership, to ensure that the installation of energy-saving measures to people's homes is as easy as possible.
Eastbourne Council Leads the Partnership
Eastbourne Borough Council is leading on energy efficiency initiatives for East Sussex and are managing the tender and energy contract with Climate Energy on behalf of the other East Sussex local housing authorities - Rother, Wealden and Hastings.
Eastbourne Council chairs East Sussex Energy Partnership meetings and manages the contract with our marketing agency PRG Publicity. Go to our page for the Marketing Campaign to find out more.
2008-11 Funding Programme
The size of the combined energy efficiency contract will be in the region of £3 million (this sum includes Eastbourne’s own energy efficiency programme as well as funding from the other East Sussex local housing authorities) over the three year programme from 2008-2011.
