Information for owners of empty homes in Eastbourne about letting your property.
You may wish to let your property to receive a regular income. We provide advice on the responsibilities of owning and maintaining property and becoming a landlord - see our Private Housing section or use the online form below to contact us.
For independent advice and assistance you can contact Accreditation Network UK (ANUK), telephone 0113 205 3404.
ANUK promotes accreditation in private rented residential accommodation and has worked with the Improvement and Development Agency to produce a Landlord Development Manual, available to download from their website.
Residential Letting Agents
You may prefer to let your property through a residential letting agency. Fees and services will vary and to help with the selection of a suitable agency you may wish to contact the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS), telephone 01242 581712.
NALS promotes quality standards for letting and management agents, offering peace of mind to both landlords and tenants.
Alternatively you could contact the Association of Residential Landlords, telephone 0845 345 5752, which self regulates letting agents, arranges training for landlords, and provides information and guidance for both landlords and tenants.
The Southern Private Landlords Association (SPLA) recently amalgamated with the National Federation of Residential Landlords (NFRL) which gives practical help and advice to private landlords and buy to let investors.
Telephone 01273 423295 or 0845 456 9313, email
info@nfrl.co.uk or visit the NFRL website.
