If benefits do not cover all of the rent due from a tenant then the difference needs to be paid by the tenant.
Housing Benefit varies from person to person and so does the amount they must contribute to the rent.
If a tenant does not agree with the amount of benefit they receive then they can query or appeal it with us.
A landlord does not have appeal rights with regards the amount of Housing Benefit a tentant receives.
