If you have a change in circumstances during the period of your claim, you must let us know straight away.
The amount of the LHA you receive may change and the new allowance will be based upon the rates set on the date day that the change happened.
Changes of circumstances that affect the rate of your allowance are when:
- you move address
- you start a new job and you are entitled to an Extended Payment Period
- you have a change in your household where someone moves in or out of your home
- you have a change in your household where someone should now be entitled to a bedroom of their own
- you are no longer under 25 years old
- you become a joint tenant or the number of joint tenants changes
