Information and advice for Older People

In the last census of 2001, people aged 60 and over made up 29.2% (percent) of Eastbourne's population.

There are many services available to older people in Eastbourne. These services are run by a variety of organisations, including Eastbourne Borough Council and include:

  • social care
  • housing, safety and protection
  • community groups
  • support
  • access information for disabled people

You can find details of many services for older people on the East Sussex Community Information Services website, ESCIS.

You can also search our Directory of Support Group Websites - see Related Pages and then select the category Older People in the directory.
