Fairtrade Fortnight - Take a Step for Fairtrade
Find out how you can take a step for Fairtrade in 2012...

Fairtrade Fortnight is a series of events to raise awareness of ways to encourage fair working conditions and fair prices for goods produced by workers in developing countries.

This year the fortnight is from 27 February until 11 March 2012 and launches the Take a Step for Fairtrade campaign.

The Fairtrade Mark is an independent consumer label which appears on thousands of products from coffee to fresh fruit, as a guarantee of a better deal for people and planet.

Display in our Customer Contact Centre

Our Environmental Health Food and Health and Safety Team will be supporting the Fairtrade Eastbourne group by promoting a display in the council's Customer Contact Centre, 1 Grove Road, Eastbourne during the fortnight.

People who came along to the display can pick up leaflets about how to make a difference by supporting Fairtrade.

You can also find more information about Fairtrade in this section, or find out more about Fairtrade Fortnight and the Take a Step for Fairtrade 2012 campaign on the Fairtrade Foundation website using the link from this page.
