If you have enjoyed a meal or takeaway in one of the restaurants and shops in Eastbourne participating in Shake the Salt Habit, please send us your feedback.
You can find out more about the scheme in this section:
Ways to Send Us Your Feedback
We would like your feedback! The new 5-hole salt shaker pots can reduce the amount of salt added by up to half and we are hoping that you will not notice the difference.
Please tell us what you think - can you notice the difference? Do your chips taste any different using the low sodium salt? Or did you enjoy your favourite takeaway a bit more by knowing it was healthier for you?
To give us your feedback you could:
-
Tell the shop staff what you think
-
Post a message on Facebook using the link from this page
-
Tweet your feedback to us
-
Send us an email using the online Environmental Health Contact Form below
Remember, we are not saying cut out salt completely, just go easy. You can still enjoy the same great tasting foods you like, just a little healthier for you with less salt.
The NHS and British Heart Foundation warn that too much salt is bad for your heart, can raise your blood pressure and damage your body. Adults should eat no more than 6g a day – about one teaspoon. Some recent research publicised in the media does not change that advice.
Please note: people receiving medication for diabetes, heart or kidney disorders should consult their doctors before using low-sodium salt.
About Our Partners
