The Great Eastbourne Weight Loss Challenge
Building on the success of 2005's Great Eastbourne Weight Loss Challenge - 10% off on the January Scales, we relaunched this exciting initiative on January 18th 2006.
The challenge was to encourage people who would like to lose weight to come to a number of weigh-in centres across town, at which they were given a target of losing 10% of their weight in 100 days.
10% was the gold standard and silver and bronze targets were also available.
Each participant received an information pack containing details of weight loss and fitness groups that are supporting the challenge, as well as special menus and diet sheets developed by our dieticians.
The aim was to encourage people to lose weight in a safe and sustainable way, through lifestyle change, rather than through faddy dieting.
