Stop Germs Spreading
A series of posters show the importance of:
- covering nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing
- using disposable tissues and throwing them away afterwards in a bin
- cleaning hands regularly, especially after coughing and sneezing
A recent survey emphasised the need for better cough and sneeze etiquette to stop germs spreading:
- half of people do not carry a tissue outside the house
- more than three in ten people use the same tissue at least two or three times
- one in ten people do not always wash their hands before preparing food
Posters will be displayed in public buildings including GP surgeries, health centres and schools. You can download a poster from the Department of Health website.
