We receive a number of complaints every year about household rubbish littering the streets.
This is often the result of animals and birds opening up black bin bags that have been put out for collection.
Wheelie bins make it much harder for animals and birds to get at household rubbish. Since we started using wheelie bins Eastbourne has become a cleaner, tidier and more pleasant place to live.
If you do not have room for a wheelie bin and have an agreement with us to put black bags out, please do not put them out until the morning of collection. All refuse must be put out by 7 am on the morning of collection.
