The Household Waste Recycling Site in St. Philips Avenue (sometimes known as "the tip") is run by Veolia Environmental Services South Downs Ltd. They were formerly known as ONYX.
This company runs the tip on behalf of East Sussex County Council (not Eastbourne Borough Council).

Asbestos
The 'tip' accepts bonded asbestos. Please call East Sussex County Council on (01273) 482153 in advance if you are taking asbestos to the site.
Entry Permits are required for the following:
- Vans
- Commercial type vehicles
- 4x4's
- High sided vehicles
- Trailers over 4ft in length
Restrictions
Please remember:

There may be a height restricton barrier, which is set at 1.75m (5'9")
- Only six bags of soil or hardcore will be accepted per month
