You can take old fridges and freezers free of charge to the Household Waste Site in St. Philips Avenue.
Alternatively, you may wish to donate or swap your furniture with local residents.

If you have a large amount of waste, for instance if you are re-furbishing a bathroom or doing DIY, you could buy a Hippo Bag, the bags are similar to builders bags and are an alternative to a traditional skip. Hippo collect these bags and are dedicated to recycling as much of the waste as they can. Please note that there is a charge for this service.

Senior citizens/OAP Collections
If you are a senior citizen living in Eastbourne we can collect your fridge or freezer free of charge. We also offer senior citizens a free collection of a maximum of three other bulky items.
Please note that this service does not include garden waste, D.I.Y. waste or storage heaters. If you would like to arrange for one of these collections please call 01323 410000.
