All waste classified as 'Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) must now be disposed of within WEEE guidelines.
In order to dispose of electrical and electronic equipment correctly you can:

Contact the original supplier to see if they can take it back

If replacing the item, see if the supplier can take back the old item when delivering the new one

Arrange for a licensed waste carrier to collect it. This may be your current refuse collection contractor, alternatively see Yellow Pages under 'waste disposal / recycling'.
