At bring sites we have much bigger recycling bins and recycling banks where you can take your recyclables.
Some of the larger bring sites have facilities for plastic bottle and cardboard recycling, while the Household Waste Recycling Site ('the tip') collects an even wider range of materials.
Bring sites are located around the town and vary in which materials can be collected. The locations and size of bring sites are dictated by a number of factors these include:
The generosity of local stores and facilities to host a bring site in their car parks
Available space owned by the Council to locate a bring site
The ability of the vehicles which empty the bins and banks to access the bring site
The Bring Site Directory allows you to search for a bring site or a shop where you can take specific items for recycling, or you can choose to browse all sites.
We also have four bring sites which you can take your green garden waste to. Two sites operate each week and are open on Saturday mornings from 08:30 to 12:00 noon. For more details please see our green garden waste bring sites page.
