Water Sampling

Find out about water quality and sampling of drinking water.

Tap water

Drinking Water

South East Water are responsible for the supply and quality of Eastbourne's drinking water.

South East Water sample the water regularly and results are reported to the Drinking Water Inspectorate.

The council also takes samples independently from time to time.

Environmental Health can deal with any complaints about the quality of drinking water in someone's home and liaise with South East Water as necessary.
