The Transport Emissions Calculator works out the amount of carbon dioxide (the main "greenhouse gas"), oxides of nitrogen and small particles (the main pollutants from vehicles) produced by road travel annually, and compares that to the national average.
The Transport Impact Calculator site is the result of an EU-funded collaboration between East Sussex County Council and Environmental Protection UK (formerly the NSCA).
It also offers lots of information and useful tips about your health, how you can still help the environment when using your car, and healthy alternatives such as cycling and walking.
