This Planning Brief provides a planning framework for the future use of St Elisabeth's Church in Eastbourne. The church has been declared redundant, but it is a Grade II Listed Building and so every effort will be made to retain the building because it is part of the nation's architectural and historical heritage.
However, the church also has some serious problems. Whilst the building is still currently being used as a place of worship, the Church no longer meets the needs of the Parish and the use will cease and activities will be relocated to the adjacent Church Hall upon completion of the current renovation works. The building also suffers from inherent design faults that are allowing water penetration.
