The Council has started work on an Affordable Housing and Infrastructure Development Plan Document (DPD). The purpose of the DPD will be to provide detailed policies on affordable housing, with the aim of increasing their supply to meet local needs. It will also set out the developer contributions and infrastructure requirements that will be sought in order to support the supply of new housing across the Borough.
A Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report is currently being drafted to set the context and the objectives for the DPD and to establish baseline information.
There will be the opportunity for a number of stakeholders to be involved in the preparation of the DPD by undertaking consultation throughout the production of the document.
The Council is taking this early opportunity to ask stakeholders how they would like to be involved in the production of the DPD and at what stages they wish to be consulted.
You can download a reply slip below, that should be sent back to the Council outlining how you would like to be involved in the production of the DPD.
