The Local Development Framework (LDF) is the new development plan for Eastbourne. We are preparing the plan following reforms to the planning system introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and subsequently revised through the Town and Coutry Planning Regulations (Amendment)2008.
The LDF is a collection of planning documents that will eventually take over from the current Borough Plan. The key parts of the LDF are:
-
The saved policies of the Eastbourne Borough Plan (2001 - 2011)
-
The Local Development Scheme (LDS)
-
The Core Strategy
-
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
-
The Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)
-
Other Development Plan Documents (DPDs) which include Area Action Plans (AAPs)
- Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs)
You can find out more about these documents in this section.
