Eastbourne Town Centre Local Plan

Latest: The Public Examination for the Town Centre Local Plan took place between 16-17 May 2013 in the Court Room, Eastbourne Town Hall.

The overall aim of the Plan is to ensure that the Town Centre remains a vibrant, attractive and welcoming place for the whole community with a strong mix of shopping, leisure and tourism attractions together with great places to live, work and relax. 

Consultation on Modifications 

The Council undertook consultation on proposed modifications to the Town Centre Local Plan between Friday 22 February and 5 April 2013. You can access the on-line consultation webpage from the 'other website' pages.

Public Examination  

The Planning Inspector Sue Turner RIBA MRTPI IHBC has been appointed to undertake the Public Examination which took place on 16 and 17 May 2013. A Public Notice advertising the Public Examination, a briefing note explaining the examination process and the schedule of matters and issues for the hearing can be downloaded below, along with the Council's Opening Statement.
