The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is Eastbourne Borough Council’s three year work programme for producing the policy documents that make up the Local Development Framework (LDF). Documents listed in the Local Development Scheme will provide the basis for considering future planning applications.
The LDS shows:
-
What documents the council intends to include in the LDF;
-
A timetable for their preparation;
-
When the public can have their say on the contents of new planning policies;
-
A means of monitoring and project programming.
The latest LDS was adopted in February, 2013.
The main focus for the current year will be the Examination of the Core Strategy, a document that will outline the spatial planning policies for the Borough to 2027. Alongside this the LDS also identifies a programme of Development Plan Documents, Area Action Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents to be prepared over the next 3 years.
