In July 2012, Eastbourne Borough Council adopted a comprehensive Parking Strategy for the town. The Strategy has been informed by a review of existing data and policy, various surveys and discussions with stakeholders.
The Parking Strategy sits alongside local policies and plans for Eastbourne and contains recommendations on how best to provide for and manage the provision of parking in the town centre over the next 15 years in light of the anticipated land use changes and vision for enhancing the town centre.
The Parking Strategy has been developed by the Council with key input from East Sussex County Council and a number of stakeholders representing a wide variety of interests.
